Halva Cookies

They are a bit like a shortbread but with Tahini paste [sesame paste] added to change the traditional buttery taste [which is still deliciuos, but I wanted a change :-) ]. Good with coffee, tea or just milk...

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of Tahini paste;
100 g of soft butter
1 1/2 cup of flour [I  make mine with a mixture of plain flour and fine cornflower; you could still use only plain flour - it will be less crumblu but still tasty!];
3/4 cup of sugar [this depands of how sweet you like your cakes to be, so it can be more or less then that];
1/2 tsp of baking soda [can be any baking powder buit I use soda because it's alkaline and good for the body ;-)  ];
1-2 tbsp of water
sesame seeds for decorating - optional

Combine all ingredients together with a fork or hands to make aquite thick paste like here:

I have to use fork, otherwise the dough is sooo good I would eat it all before even baking the whole lot!
Form into small balls - the size of walnuts, flatten them, dip one side in sesame seeds and place on the baking tray. [I always grease the tray with some butter and dust with flour]. Leave some space before they will spread a bit [like here - before baking]:

Bake in 190 C degrees for about 20 minutes. Let cool and - enjoy!
